Cadence Records owner and former Arthur Godfrey music director Bleyer reached #2 on the national singles chart with this imaginative arrangement of “Hernando’s Hideaway.” It’s one of three tunes included in the 1954 Hits project that sprang from the Richard Adler-Jerry Ross score of the Tony Award-winning musical “Pajama Game.” See also “Hey There” and “Steam Heat.”
