Myanmar rebels: Main trade route under control of armed group
One of Myanmar’s most important trade routes from the city of Mandalay to the Chinese border, is now under the control of rebels.
That comes after an alliance of ethnic armed groups launched a series of attacks across northern Shan State.
The co-operation among these groups could be a major obstacle for Myanmar’s ruling military.
