C/U of singer Paddy O’Neill as she sings into a microphone - she is a radio star.
Paddy is from a family of travelling showmen and was born in a caravan. Paddy is seen looking around a fairground. It is a wintery day and the fairground is closed. Paddy looks at the rides then walks up steps to her Aunt Ethel and Uncle John’s caravan. They greet Paddy with a kiss and they sit down for a chat. Paddy refuses the cigarette offered - she is looking after her voice.
Paddy is given a free ride on a roundabout - just like in the old days. She sits on a wooden cockerel on the “galloping horses“ type rides. Various shots of Paddy enjoying the ride. She then has a go on a shooting range - narrator tells us that Paddy used to be a good shot - bull’s-eye! Paddy throws a dart and gets another bull’s-eye. Good shots of Paddy on a swing boat ride.
These shots might be good for illustrating a cold day at a funfair.
Terry Ashwood is credited as cameraman on title.
