Medical Qigong is a form of non-surgical holistic healing that boosts little-known or no side-effects. Origins tracing back to the Han Dynasty (206BC to 220BC) and a modality of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Medical Qigong strengthens and redistributes the vital energy, or “qi“ of an individual. This is the same way that acupuncture and other TCM modalities work. The principles of treatment are the same, only the technique varies. Medical QiGong is well suited for very sensitive people, children, and people in frail health, but can be beneficial for absolutely anyone. Safer and gentler than acupuncture, acupressure, or herbs, Medical Qigong involves working directly and subtly with a person’s qi in ways that are not invasive. This modality may be used to treat many subtle and spiritual conditions that cannot be treated with acupuncture, acupressure, or herbs. Medical Qigong is a way of affecting and directing qi, or the life force, for medical benefit, relying on the ability to direct qi with the mind and the hands. To develop skill with Medical Qigong, a practitioner needs to be highly disciplined, with a very focused Yi (attention).
Projecting Qi or Qi emission
Projecting Qi is one of the most profound aspects of classical Chinese medicine. With projecting Qi therapy the practitioner manipulates the patient’s qi in order to bring about renewed health and wellbeing. Areas of the body that have insufficient Qi can be boosted allowing the body’s natural healing processes to be promoted.
Qi emission therapy has been used for millennia in Asia to treat a wide variety of diseases and conditions.
Qi emission therapy is used to:
Eliminate or balance internal pathogenic factors (the accumulation of excessive emotions such as anger, grief, worry, fear, etc.) as well as external pathogenic factors (the invasion of cold, hot, damp, etc., from the environment) to purify the human body. Balance Qi by increasing the client’s Qi or decreasing the influences of pathogenic energy as needed to counteract the deficient or excess condition within the internal organs and channels. Regulate, balance, and harmonize the patient’s/client’s Yin and Yang energy.
