Ingeborg Bachmann (25 June 1926 - 17 October 1973) was an Austrian poet, dramatist, and novelist, a leading voice in post-war German literature. She spent some time as a visiting scholar at Harvard University in the United States. The poem was written in 1952. From Dutch Television: VPRO
