This is the last one on the Viscount organ in the foreseeable future. That I can promise - just in case you hate it.
This was the last melody I recorded on this organ last winter when I had a recording session that started with “Highway to Hell“. So you could say that I have been on a quite exhaustive journey through the genres of popular music - no wonder I sometimes felt exhausted.

“Durham Town“ was a major hit for English musician Roger Whittaker in 1969. It’s one of those songs that I have known for many years and still enjoy because it has a sort of timeless charm to it. It’s also a song about leaving which I too know about. But that would be a way too long story to grind on about here.....
