We were just messing around honestly, but it was too funny not to show. Yes we didn’t train these techniques for years, but I doubt they would ever work. There is a lot more wrong with this “How samurai actually fought“-video. This is just a tiny fraction of what’s wrong with that video. Actually the whole premise is wrong. Aikido was not founded to produce soldiers, but to grow people into better human beeings. To claim he knows how samurai fought is a little far fetched, when his martial art doesn’t train you how to fight, but to live peacefully. Though he seems like a cool person, what he shows in that video is just so dumb. In this case it doesn’t even matter, what the technique looks like. You are not fast enough to dodge an attack just from perception. And even if you manage to dodge, your opponent still has a sword and you don’t. You are f*cked. The Aikido Video:
