Phoenix quilling paper tutorial, step by step. In this video I will show you how to make a paper quilled phoenix. For the background I used acrylic paint to make the fire design. Then I used 130gsm paper for the phoenix’s body. I made the on edge quilling on it’s body with 10mm paper stripes. For the wings I used 5mm paper stripes and added a second layer of coils. For it’s tail I also used 5mm paper stripes. I don’t want to make it in 2d so I glued the paper stripes in every direction to give it a 3d look. At the end I used glitter glue and gilding flakes to make it shine. The gilding flakes should illustrate the ash in which the phoenix was reborn. What do you think about my paper quilled phoenix?
