Various shots of muddy football match between the Royal Air Force and Oxford University on 30 January 1952. RAF score first goal. The very sparse crowd cheers. RAF score two more goals. We don’t see the fourth one. RAF players Mudie (who scores 1st goal) and Broadbent play for Blackpool and Wolves, respectively. Intertitle reads: ’NEW USE FOR GLASS’. C/U of hand fondling fibreglass (?). A man pours some treacly liquid into a bowl and paints it over some fibreglass matting. Small panel of stiff fibreglass is tested for strength by releasing a block of wood onto it, which bounces right off. Two men examine the body of a rowing boat made from fibreglass.
