LING LOM - Basic Ground Movement Free Flow

Basic Ground Movement Free Flow with assorted, unstaged and unchoreographed attack and defense techniques. The goal of this exercise is to fluidly switch between different positions and to explore technical variations. It also makes a great warm-up for Ling Lom students and practitioners. LING LOM (monkey-air or air-monkey) is a weaponless fighting system of PAHUYUTH, executed and carried out with full physical use. This video shows a few of the many ways of LING LOM and was made to show the differences between MUAI and LING LOM. The origins of this unique fighting method reach back to the time of the Glie Gauw Pienohng (around 2500 B.C.). First described by the Chinese as a “ghost“ or “wraith fight“ it was later named “Ling Lom“ (monkey-air or air-monkey), due to its elusive character and unusual movements.
