Join me, as we are exploring the charming and historic city located in the central region of Vietnam after dark. As we begin our 1 hour tour, we find ourselves close to the shimmering Hoai river, adorned with numerous colorful boats and lanterns and preserved architectural wonders. Many people are taking a boat ride here. Afterwards, we’ll take a long stroll through the bright street markets, where lots of local food and snacks are being sold. We will proceed then through the streets of Hoi An’s Old Town, where you’ll discover the rich history and culture that has earned the city recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are many narrow alleys and lanes that are lined with ancient buildings, including temples, pagodas, and merchant houses to be seen. During our walk, we’ll learn about the unique architecture and cultural influences that have shaped Hoi An over the centuries. From Chinese traders to Japanese merchants, and European missionaries, the city’s rich history is reflected in its diverse architectural styles. As we continue our walk, we’ll pass by traditional markets and local shops where you can find souvenirs, handmade crafts, and delicious street food. Finally, we’ll end our tour around the Hoai River again. This walking tour is the perfect way to immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of this city, and experience its charm and beauty.
