Join us for this journey on a hot summer day, starting at the busy main station after leaving the train. Our first stop takes us to the magnificent Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom) right in front of the station, where we marvel at its awe-inspiring exterior. We will then proceed to the vibrant Schildergasse shopping street, immersing ourselves in the lively atmosphere and discovering an array of shops, boutiques, and street musicians. Our next stop is the charming Neumarkt & Neumarkt passage, basically a nice square with a little shopping mall. Our journey then leads us to the Heumarkt before we proceed to the beautiful old town (Altstadt). You will see narrow cobblestone streets, passing by traditional buildings, charming cafes, restaurants and beer breweries. Cologne’s old town offers a glimpse into the city’s rich heritage and provides a delightful backdrop for exploration and discovery. Our final destination of this walking tour is the renowned Hohenzollern Bridge, adorned with countless love locks that symbolize eternal love and romance. Here, we pause to take in the breathtaking views of the Rhine River and capture the essence of this iconic landmark.
