PACS 164A Lecture 3: How Science and History Weigh-in on the Possibility of the Nonviolent Effect
In this lecture, Professor Michael Nagler examines the presence of nonviolence thought and practice in both history and science. Professor Nagler provides an introduction for how to most tactfully use the building blocks of nonviolent engagement in the context of Gandhi’s first actions of civil disobedience. In the case of nonviolence in science, Professor Nagler elaborates on the practice and significance of reductionism and the state of the modern study of evolution.
