Officials in Gaza said more than a dozen Palestinians were killed overnight in Israeli air strikes - as the US government says it hopes a more detailed ceasefire plan is days away. The chief US negotiator on Gaza, who’s also the director of the CIA, said the time has come for “hard choices“. But far from tensions cooling, recent days have seen a spike of violence in the West Bank with both a 13-year-old girl and an American protester shot dead in separate incidents.
