The Palm Collectors (1929)

Florida, United States of America. Story about collecting Palms for Easter festivals throughout the world. M/S of black worker chopping down palm leaves. Elderly white worker holds out a large palm leaf, spreading out the fronds for the camera. The workers walk away from the camera with baskets of palm leaves on their backs. We see the workers walking towards the camera. They then load the baskets of palm leaves on to a lorry. C/U leaves being tied into a bundle. M/S of a man stitching a cloth - ? M/S of the bundles of leaves being driven off in the lorry. Paper records state was an item in Pathe Pictorial 567 but seems more likely that was in 577 as per title card.
