Update: I’ve posted a few more angles and a brief description of how it works on my company’s channel:
This is a proof of concept for an XYZ platform design built on top of a pair of Zaber Technologies linear stages. This specific implementation is original, but the kinematic design came from Laval university and the idea for a single long base axis came from @NicholasSeward.
The joints and platform I machined myself, and the linear stages and controls are off-the-shelf components. I work at Zaber so have access to stages and motors and controllers and CNC machines for prototyping ideas like this.
