EXERCISE COOPERATIVE LONGBOW/LANCER 2009 IN GEORGIA.

A platoon of Ukrainian troops practices basic field medic skills and then evacuates wounded personnel to a Georgian H-1 helicopter. Casualty evacuation operations were overseen by Greek special forces instructors during Exercise Cooperative Lancer 2009. The exercise, held in Georgia, provides small-unit training in patrolling procedures, vehicle search techniques, improvised explosive device detection, interacting with the civilian population, and the law of armed conflict.
