Reverse Trunk Hinges & Sheetmetal Fab for the ’65 Continental - Godzilla Swapped Lincoln Ep. 11
You guys all had very strong opinions about us building out our exhaust system in the former trunk of the 1965 Godzilla swapped Continental. Well, the customer loved the design so we’re going to keep moving forward with all the metal fabrication needed to clean up the design of this trunk! And that starts with a whole ton of closeout panels. So we’re cutting, bead rolling, and welding in a whole ton of sheet metal to close in the space around the exhaust, as well as giving us a place to mount our Accuair Endo-Tank and control unit. We also have to build our a bottom panel with some louvers so that we can get some air flowing through the back of the Linlcon and keep our custom trunk mounted Vibrant Mufflers cool.
Once our closeout panels are all fabricated, we can focus on swapping our hinges out on the trunk lid. We got a set of reverse hinges from our friend Brian. They came off a convertible Lincoln Continental, which should make the swap easy, right? Well, we still have to fabricate cus
