Suzette Tarri (1930-1938)

As voiceover introduces her act freeze frame ’unfreezes’ and act starts. Suzette is dressed as a waitress in a tea-rooms / cafe setting. She addresses camera cataloguing the trials and tribulations of being a waitress and tells of the bad day she has had, getting orders mixed up, “then I tumbled with a loaded tray and cut me knee on the Welsh rabbit“! She had an argument with the manager who told her “the customer is always right“. She asked “Is he right if he picks his teeth with a fork?“. The manager said yes and she said “What’s his tram ticket for?“. She talks about working in the catering business, tips, customers, courting couples, middle-aged businessmen. She suddenly stops as she realises the manager is coming back and begins to clear tables. This was originally an item in New Sound Pictorial NSP 139. This version is from compilation ’Pictorial Revue
