Suzette Tarri (1938)

No titles. Commentator introduces “A brilliant character comedienne whom millions have already heard on the air..... The inimitable Suzette Tarri“. Pathe Studio, London. Suzette Tarri enters drawing room set wearing feathered hat and feather boa and carrying a large bunch of flowers. She proceeds to pour a large drink, mixed from various bottles on the table. She swallows the drink in one and begins comic monologue about her ’enrietta’s wedding which she has just attended. (Henrietta, her daughter, is 44 we learn.) She talks of registry office wedding versus church wedding, the wedding presents, the new son-in-law, the honeymoon and commercial travellers amongst other things. She finishes by starting to tidy up the room. This is a good one! Suzette says she prefers an old-fashioned wedding - “I’ve no patience with this present-day laxativeness“! - SL. This is duplicate of item in Pathe New Sound Pictorial NSP 103 - see separate record for details. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATH
