Before 1947 Ludhiana had a population of 50-60 thousand. In front of Lodhi Khan Qila there was Purana Bazar, Soodan Mohalla, Naughara, Katra Nauhrian, Sarafan Bazar, Dal Bazar, Chaura Bazar etc. In Purana Bazar it was Hindu Majority Areas and in present there are a number of old temples before 1947.
People of that time used to go for a walk toward open areas. It was down to Daresi and Qila mohalla, the Cemetery of old time. The youth of that time had a wrestling ground near Ram Temple & Shiv Temples Presently it is Tutiya Wala Mandir. Old times there was a well where people used to pull water with their hands to drink and bathe.
After partition some old city people developed this temple and Kaki Shah owner of Laxmi flour mills Miller Ganj Area, Built a Krishna Temple in loving memory of his father Bulleh Shah.
