Storm Barra hits Dawlish and GWR’s train service hard

Weather warnings were already in place in Dawlish for Storm Barra however we didn’t expect so much trouble on the railways. At least two trains broke down during the storm cutting of the railway line for over three hours. One broke down in Dawlish railway station, a second train between Teignmouth and Newton Abbot and possible the train that came to rescue the failed IET at Dawlish also broke down.
