Restoration Railway Kerosene Lantern - 20th Century

Hello folks! Today I am restoring a railway kerosene lantern, a sample of the beginning of the 20th century. Let’s start restoration! The first duty I did was to remove the broken glass, take out the kerosene lamp and remove the upper part of the lantern. By removing the old handle. The lamp of the lantern turned out to be in good condition, it only remained to be cleaned and polished. The wick is long and I did not change it. I just cleaned the surface of the lamp with sandblasting and polished. I started cleaning rust and old paint with a sandblaster. After cleaning the entire surface, I began to align the dents on the lantern. After leveling the surface, I sanded the metal surface and degreased it with a solvent. I painted the lantern black red (as it was in the original). The paint can withstand more than 650 degrees. After drying, I turned a new handle for the lantern on a wood lathe and put all the parts together. And as usual, I conducted a test for you. I hop
