Mozambique: army says attacked town of Palma is ’safe’ from jihadists - Eye on Africa

In tonight’s edition: Mozambique says the army has secured the town of Palma. It was attacked by extremist militants in March sending tens of thousands fleeing from their homes.  And communities in Namibia’s Okavango Delta are worried that their livelihoods and wildlife are at risk because of huge oil drilling plans. And finally F24 speaks to Benin striker Steve Mounié about the Covid test row with Sierra Leone. Benin are accusing Sierra Leone of having falsified Covid test results to try and gain the upper hand in the qualifying slot for next year’s  Africa Cup of Nations.
