Peeps Through The Window Of The World No. 71 (1936)

Titles read: ’PEEPS THROUGH THE WINDOW OF THE WORLD’. Various locations of events. Near Rochester in Kent we see a woman called Miss Jones in a street wearing a tray of cosmetics around her neck like an ice-cream girl at the cinema or a cigarette girl. A woman who has left her make-up at home stops at the mobile beauty counter and puts on lipstick and powder at the tray while Miss Jones holds up a mirror for her. (This can’t be real!) Also in Kent, we see a female hiker in shorts, beret and backpack, standing beneath a road sign. She is wearing a round disc on the back of her rucksack, so that motorists can see her clearly. Commentator opines that “Motorists certainly wouldn’t be looking at the disc“. In the United States of America we see girls on a beach getting changed into their swimsuits inside ’tent bags’ - large fabric bags that cover the whole body to protect your modesty. Some have the bags pulled right up over their heads, two girls are in the same bag together (oo-er!). The girls
