NATO Deploys Patriot Missiles to Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Wednesday called on allies to improve Ukraine’s air defenses, amid increasing Russian attacks. Stoltenberg spoke as Germany made plans to encourage European countries that operate Patriot missiles to provide the systems to Ukraine. Over the weekend, Berlin announced it would send one Patriot air defense system. “Germany announced it will send another Patriot system to Ukraine, part of the important efforts we are now undertaking across the NATO alliance to increase our delivery of air defense systems to Ukraine,” Stoltenberg said.
