Στην κεντρική Συρία, ανάμεσα στο Χαλέπι και τη Δαμασκό, κοντά στην Έμεσσα (Χομς), οι ισλαμιστές διατηρούσαν ένα μεγάλο θύλακα στην περιοχή του Ραστάν. Σήμερα ο συριακός στρατός έθεσε τέρμα στο σιωνιστικό-ισλαμιστικό αίσχος αυτό, απελευθερώνοντας δεκάδες χωριά.
