M/S of Rupert, tipping his funny little hat to us. He has his usual comedy hair tufts and makeup, wears a suit and holds his violin with brass horn instrument. He tells a few jokes, then introduces a ballad called ’She Was Only A Chemist’s Daughter, But On Troubled Waters She Castor Oil’. Rupert sits down and starts to play ’The Blue Danube’. Soprano Elsie Day enters, coming down a stairway in a satin crinoline gown with feather fan, trilling along t
