CAC Wirraway Yarram Airshow 2018

Saturday March 17 2018 was an exciting day, and with the last ray’s of Victoria’s summer beaming down, one knew it was going to be good. The town of Yarram, and in particular it’s Aero Club, was holding an Airshow to commemorate the first military air mission over Australian soil during the great war, World War One. ASO was very excited about this event, and made the three and a half hour drive south east of Melbourne to Yarram Airport which is situated in Victoria’s Gippsland region. ASO’s videographer Mark Pourzenic was airside to capture this historic event. In this clip we see Ben Lappin at the controls of this beautifully restored Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation CA-3 Wirraway performing for the gathered crowd during the Yarram Centenary of Flight Airshow.
